Norton anti-virus help?

i was wondering why my anti virus that i bought is not letting me fix some problems.

it says that : adware.websearch cannot be removed from an unsupported file.

how can i remove this

i have the cd and paid for this program to fix all problems and its not fixing this?

I hate to say this but the consensus of experts that I talk to say NORTON is difficult to contact, often cannot resolve problems, does no more than free AVG and AVIRA and has probably outlived its former popularity.

AVIRA is SOOOO good. It takes a tiny bit of space and many people tell me that NORTON slows down their computer. I like Norton Utilities but even those tasks can be beautifully done by CCleaner and Easy Cleaner, (both free).

it may be spyware and not really a virus. use superantispyware. you need both anti spyware and anti virus.
