Why would emails be slow and not the internet?

Hi can anyone tell me why my friends computer would be slow just trying to access her emails on yahoo and msn? She has AVG security and zone alarm firewall.She also has adware se personal for spyware.But her computer almost stops when she tries to access her emails.Any ideas?

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.
